Highlights of Young Guns of Summer

• Serious fun, but not too serious – You’ve played seriously structured hockey your whole life. Now’s the time to play how you want to, when you what to, and with the those you want to play with.
• Play against other local players – The players you’ll play with and against all from neighboring towns.
• No invite Required – There’s no exclusivity here. YGS is not an invitation-only league. If you fit the league requirements then you are eligible to register.
• “No Jerks” – We look to attract the right players and our Player Conduct Policy helps to ensure they stay on the good side
• All payments are handled by the league, with the team cost split up amongst the team members
• Payment plans available for all players
• No surprise players – A roster format and positive ID system that ensures you’ll know the team you’re playing each game

For the same cost as a weekend tournament, you’ll get a whole summer of games, a town-colored jersey to keep, and more!

What’s Included

• Fresh jersey that’s yours to keep and use in any StinkySocks Hockey game or league in the future
• One referee to keep the game moving and under control

The Details

• Season Dates: 6/24/2018 through 8/19/2018
• Day/Times: Sundays at 6PM or 7PM
• Location: The Edge Sports Center in Bedford, MA
• Roster: Teams limited to 13 skaters

Cost

• Skaters: $230
• Primary Goalie: $50 jersey fee

Rosters

Rostered Skaters – Each team will have a maximum of 13 skaters.

Rostered Goalies – 1 primary goalie

Emergency Goalies – If your rostered goalie is unavailable, a YGS backup goalie may fill in.

Teams are not be allowed to bring in their own unrostered players under any circumstance.

To be eligible to play in any game, players must meet the following criteria:

• Be registered and rostered
• Have a waiver e-signed
• Be a player in good standing, meaning the player is current on their league dues and is not otherwise ineligible to participate in a StinkySocks Hockey game (admin hold, conduct case, etc)
• Wear your StinkySocks Hockey league jersey as a source of identification

Payments

Pay In Full –  Those who elect to pay in full will have their charged in full at the time of registration for the stated cost of the program ($230 for skaters, $50 for goalies).

Payment Plans – Those electing the payment plan must place a $70 deposit at the time of registration. By selecting the payment plan you authorized StinkySocks Hockey to charge the same card for two additional $85 payments, on 6/15/2018 and 7/15/2018. Please note that there is an additional admin fee of $5 that is added to each installment, making your overall cost $10 more than paying in full. Payment plans are offered as a convenience and do not exempt the player from their obligation to pay in full under any condition. Any player who is disqualified for any reason is not eligible to receive a refund and remains responsible for payment in full of any balance owed.

StinkySocks Hockey reversible jerseys are included in the cost of the inaugural season. You may upgrade to the thinner StinkySocks Hockey lace up jersey pair for an additional $35.

OUR JERSEYS RUN SMALLer than most big brand hockey jerseys. Please be sure to have a look at the sizing chart to be sure that you’re ordering the right size.

Requirements to Join YGS

• Age eligibility: 17-22 years old
• Level: Open – High School level hockey experience required. Those with D1 experience are not eligible.

Rules and Policies

All StinkySocks Hockey policies apply unless otherwise stated below. The policies changes for YGS Leagues are:

• Attendance Policy (does not apply)
• Standby Policy (does not apply)
• Age policy – Amended to allow for those between 17 and 22 years of age
