Youth Hockey Coach

Website Cambridge Youth Hockey

At Cambridge Youth Hockey we’re always on the lookout for volunteers who can share their knowledge and passion for hockey to our players. All of our teams, from learn-to-play through our U18 Boys and Girls coaches and players can benefit from additional support on the ice, and we can work with your schedule to find the best opportunity.

Our travel team practices occur between 6p and 8:50p at the Simoni Rink in Cambridge. There is free parking, and it’s a reasonable walk from Kendall (Red Line) and Lechmere (Green Line). We have teams from mites (under 8) through half-season U18, and girls only squads at the U12, U14 and U18 levels. Help out with just practices, or come along for the games on the weekends.

On Saturdays from December through April we hold Instructional Hockey (see video below) from 8-10 teaching the basics of the game to new players, Learn-To-Skate at 10am, and our Learn-To-Play-For-Girls from 11-12:30. These Saturday programs are just a blast!

Volunteers will benefit from working with our great group of parent and community coaches our organization including former D1 players, HS/Prep coaches, and all around good people. We work really hard to build a welcoming environment to those who are new to hockey and we strive to have our teams compete at the highest level possible based on their playing experience.

Email me for additional information, or call/text 617.921.0997. USA Hockey membership required and basic certification requirements I can walk you through. Hope you can join us!
