Referee

Referee positions are available throughout the Greater Boston area.

Responsibilities for BYOT and Draft League Games (2 referees) include on-ice officiating, enforcement of the policies and expectations of the league, coordination with other game staff, and reporting. Additional responsibilities for Standard Games (single referee) include level/conduct monitoring, and reporting

Proficiency in skating, the rules of the game, and the policies of StinkySocks Hockey are required. The ability to handle any situation that may arise and be the authority figure while maintaining professionalism is a must. As an independent organization, a particular “patch” is not required but equivalent proficiency is required.

Compensation ranges from $50 to $82.50 per game, based on game format and staffing scenario. Compensation is based on 60-minute blocks but some blocks may be 50 minutes in length.
