Administrative Operations Assistant – Part Time

About the Position

The administrative operations assistant position is an administrative and customer service role that is essential to the daily production of our games and events. Core responsibilities of the position are everything that is involved with close-in and day of game operations. This includes membership processing and maintenance, player callout processing, player registration, roster creation, general customer service, game day staff schedule maintenance, communication with game day staff, game report processing, outstanding payment collections, player backfills, and other related tasks. As a small company, this position will assist in other roles as necessary, including but not limited to sales, marketing, and planning. We are a customer-centric organization and, as such, the administrative operations assistant is expected to provide a high level of customer service through timely and thoughtful interactions with our players via phone, email, text messaging, and web chat.

Candidates should have a passion for maintaining an active lifestyle, preferably through hockey, and the desire to contribute in a fast-moving team environment. They should also possess the desire to provide a high level of service, strong written and oral communication, proficiency with technology, and an aptitude to learn new systems. A positive attitude is a must.

Hours

StinkySocks Hockey operates seven days per week. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 10AM to 7PM, and as needed on weekends. This full time position is approximately 20 hours per week, with actual hours by agreement prior to hire. The general expectation for this position is for those hours to be Monday through Friday with occasional weekend duties.

Compensation

Hourly compensation ranges from $15 to $22, depending on qualifications and relevant work experience.

StinkySocks Hockey was founded in 2006 with the goal of providing a unique hockey experience to a small group with a shared mindset of what a recreational adult hockey experience should be; consistently well-organized, competitive games with appropriate leveling and “no jerks”. Over a decade later, we offer players in the Boston area approximately 4,000 games annually based on those same values and strive to make hockey accessible. StinkySocks Hockey offers individuals and groups the opportunity to get on the ice on a game-to-game basis through our No Commitment Hockey program. Players can access a series of those games with a SSH Season Pass or an unlimited amount of those games with a monthly Unlimited Membership. Full teams can compete in our BYOT (Bring Your Own Team) Leagues and tournaments, with individual players gaining access to the same type of competitive play through our draft leagues.
